Okay, so I've been feeling special though a little frustrated lately. I totally want to go home because A. It's boring here and B. I want to see my squirt. Mmm...I think I'm feeling something, but we'll see.

Now to the main point of this post, the website listed in the title. This website is an evangelical Christian website that leans towards providing it's readers (including homosexuals) an accepting approach compared to the usual fire and brimstone lecture that many have expressed. However there still exists the fact that they are continuing their failed attempts at converting gays into ex-gays, which ruin the lives of both those they converted as well as anyone that person happened to sleep with.

It is abhorrent that they are now offering an accepting hand to homosexuals to only mislead them into thinking they can be straight. If there is one truth to homosexuality it is that it can't be changed. These Campus Crusaders for Christ are a mass of deranged individuals that don't understand how much destruction they are causing to the lives of students that come under their influence. Preventing homosexuality and abortions while supporting initiatives that promote the other failed concept of abstinence will bring the United States into a state with a massive population overload and poverty that hasn't been seen since the depression.

Has it ever occured to these people that maybe nature and even God himself has placed homosexuals as a way of preventing overpopulation? They're always following that stupid book that may I say again, has been written by man not God. The only effective thing that the Bible acts as is a history book, true Christians need to follow their heart. Or maybe they actually are and this is just a showing of how corrupt humanity really is. If so then this country is in need of an awakening to things out there, otherwise I don't want to know what's in store for us.

I know I just copied and pasted this from my xanga, but yeah...I don't even know if anyone reads this thing, but I'm sure I have my admirers out there.

Why I am a Democrat

Strange isn't it how our economy is said to be doing quite well, but in fact wages have grown by the smallest amount in 9 years. I suppose that in the course of things, we can only expect that, after all this is a Republic President, Congress, and soon to be Supreme Court that we will have on our hands here. I can only wonder what wonderful things President Bush will have to say, what lies and deceit he will continue to spread, that the surveilance of American citizens is needed. In all truthful terms I don't believe we are any more safe now than we were 5 years ago in terms of terrorism, the only things that we've seemed to achieve have been turning Iraq into a battlezone and democratizing Afghanistan to an extent. Iraq, yes it is gaining a democracy but what is to stand in the way of saying it won't end up like the Palestinians with some crazy group like Hamas in leadership.

At least we can maybe take some sense of peace in knowing that Saddam is gone, even though if Bush was a true Machiavellian, he would have made use of Saddam in fighting the terrorists. I have nothing wrong with one who wishes to build an empire out of our nation, but at the very least do it in an adequate manner.

In the site of things, I could say that I am happy with the ways things are in the country, oh why wouldn't I? After all, the things for MYSELF are pretty good. Being in the upper middle class, I'm somewhat likely to benefit from those tax cuts that Bush proposed and wants made permanent. Also, why should I worry about abortion, I don't need to worry about a child or the person I sleep with having a child, after all I am gay and the chances of that happening are as much as God being proven without a doubt to the world.

Well why am I a Democrat? It is because I do not think about the I, but rather the us. I think about others, rather than my own well being and wealth. I care that children will be put up for adoption only to never find homes or find homes that wouldn't be as caring as would be with a child's true mother. I care that girls who aren't ready to have children should have the ability to end it and prevent it from occurring so that they don't have to go through the unnecessary pain of childbirth at an age where one should not have a child, only because of a simple accident or lack of education. I care that the children of this nation should be able to learn about their bodies and not be forbidden from the natural desires within themselves, whether it be for a man or woman. Finally, I care for the fact that so many poor in this country are suffering and need aid. How can we be one of the greatest nations in the world and still harbor so much in the way of poverty? So why am I a Democrat, it's because I care.

Humans have a general understanding that the truth is very much the definition of good. Why is it then that so many of us wish to follow groups that work so hard to deny us the ability to search for the truth.

I was thinking about Star Wars, more in particular the conflict that occurs between the Dark Side and Light Side in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and the similarities that are shown to it with things in our world, such as some Baptist Schools looking down upon students learning other philosophies, one of such being the Qu'ran. To them they are correct and no one else is, and to stray even a bit means that you've done an irrevokable sin and should probably burn in hell. Yet if we're to find the truth, and understand it, we can't just stop to one thing or another, but must always keep learning more.

What motivates these groups to do such things that deny us from the path to discovery? Depends, maybe it's fear, maybe it's the fact that humans seek to become a collective group and not branch out into other things, or maybe it's a small group seeking greed and power. In Star Wars, there is the Jedi Order that seeks to deny their students from giving in to their emotions, one of the most prevalent being love. The Sith Order, shown to be evil, didn't limit their teachings, and unfortunately, being the minority, were defeated and made nearly extinct. Of course then eventually they came to overthrow the Jedi, and became as evil as the Jedi were with their restriction of knowledge, though not so much to followers as the very people they controlled.

Yet the overthrowing of groups that were like the Jedi rarely happen in real life unfortunately, and the restriction of knowledge and learning will likely continue for quite a long time. I can only hope that there can be light brought to those who are kept blinded by those who are not willing to understand the darker philosophies of our world.

Stick Shifts

    <lj:music>Kylie Minogue - Slow</lj:music>

I'm all fluttery now. So yeah, in the past 3 weeks I've learned more about stick shifts than I have in terms to automatics in my entire lifetime. I always just considered them something old, out of date, I never really gave much heed to the fact that they have several very good benefits. Fuel efficiency, response to what you do, really I find it kinda hard that America has shifted to automatic. Okay sure getting started with it is totally a little bit hard, but I think that if we really worked towards converting the country to manual again, there's so much we could benefit with.

Course one must keep in mind that we are Americans, and even when gas prices are becoming more and more (though luckily they've gotten a little better since the summer) we'll still remain with automatic if it's simply convenient. I guess that's one of the many evils that we express, laziness. Unfortunately there is an untold amount of other evils that we express, through our cars oddly enough. Greed is shown through people using cars that have far too much room they need, being a waste. And there is no doubt that a number of those that are responsible for doing this are Christians, but I suppose that we all have our sins.

Well, I finally decided to check this out, see what's so special about it. Certainly it is unique, but it reminds me a bit of xanga, but I guess after some time of using it I'm sure I'll find differences. So yeah, went to go see 40 year virgin, it was a pretty good movie...certainly funny, made me laugh more than I have in a long while, and that's saying something. Well, guess this is it for now in terms of fun things to say, guess I'll post more stuff here later...maybe LiveJournal can become the source of my political commentary...never know. Wee!
